More Christmas!

It has been so much fun decorating our very first Christmas tree. We had a ton of fun going to the store and getting the ornaments. I follow a blog called "Kelly's Korner". Every Friday she hosts an event called "show us your life." Bloggers from all over the country post about the topic. This week is about Christmas trees. I decided to finally participate and show everyone out there in the blog-world our tree. Enjoy!

I bought this ornament last week from Hallmark

We bought this puppy ornament last year from Hallmark
It says "08" on the puppy's tag
It was the 1st Christmas that we had little Geno
I want to get a new ornament every year with the year on it

HERE WE GO, STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!!!

I got this for Dean this year--it is a s'more man.
Graham cracker, chocolate and marshmallows
fully equipped with playing cards and poker chips!

Next are just some of my favorites on the tree...

Hermey from "Rudolph"
I couldn't remember his name, I just knew that he wanted to be a dentist!!
He came in a set of 4 with Rudolph, Sam the Snowman
(you can see in the picture above Hermey to the left) & the Abominable Snowman
{from walmart of course}

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Oh Christmas Tree...

After recovering from some crazy Black Friday shopping, we got our tree on Saturday. We went to a local Christmas tree farm and picked out a BEAUTIFUL 7' Douglas Fir.

We got it all set up in the stand then went to help Dean's sister, Allison, and her fiance, Barry, move into their new house. We hung out with his family for a little while and had dinner with them. We went to the store and got lights and some ornaments for our tree. We came home later and decorate. Here is the final product...

I spent some time today working on this tree skirt. I'm very proud of it. I didn't have a pattern to use, just a lot of measuring. We think it looks great!

We put lights up outside the front of our house as well :)

Thanksgiving!!!

This is the beautiful turkey that we made!!

Posing with my turkey!

I wanted to have Dean and Geno in the picture too :)

The place cards that I made.

One of the adult tables + Mary
(Dean's Aunt Sue in the background)

The other adult table + Andrew
I didn't get a picture of the bar where the teenagers were seated.

We had a great holiday with a ton of food!
Thanks to everyone who contributed to our day :)

Andrew decided that he wanted to be
a dog and wanted to play in Geno's crate.

While Anna was here over Thanksgiving, she knit GG a sweater!
He loves it!!
Thanks ANNA!

I think this picture says...
"Geno for President"

Andrew and Geno just hanging out

MARYYY!!!

Andrew to the Allergist

I went with Amanda and Andrew to his allergist appointment. In addition to milk and eggs, this child is now allergic to peanuts. Poor kid.

Good thing he's not allergic to these puffs!

We went down the slide together at Chick-Fil-A!

I let him play with my wristlet. This is hilarious.

Sorry

I know that I have been terrible about updating lately. Here is Geno wrapped in his early Christmas gift. I was putting him in his crate before leaving the house today and he was shivering. I got out this blanket that we were saving for him and wrapped him up.

I promise I will post about what we have been up to sometime this week!

Til then, GO STEELERS!!!!

Apologies

First, I'd like to say sorry for my blogging hiatus. We have been very busy with weddings and the flu! We had Nate & Sara's wedding on October 3rd and then we had Dani & Barry's wedding on October 10th! Dean got the flu first and now I have it-- oh joy! Here are some pictures from the weddings and what Geno was up to while we were gone!

Here we are at Nate's wedding

The new Mr. & Mrs. Cutting the cake!

Nate dancing with his sisters

Things got a little crazy!
I think the song was "Don't Stop Believin'"

While we were at the weddings, Geno stayed with his Aunt Amanda, Uncle Mike and Cousin Andrew (doggy cousin Max too!). They all had a ton of fun! Andrew LOVES taking Geno out to go potty. He holds the leash all by himself (and gets mad when you try and help him). I'm so glad that Geno is so good with Andrew!

Andrew is saying, "Come on, G, this way!"

These last 2 pictures are from late summer when Andrew walked
Geno around the yard one evening. Too cute to leave out! :)
