E is 5 months!

I know I sound like a broken record but--- better late than never! :)

Ethan turned 5 months old on April 22nd.

He had a well baby visit on 3.29 and he weighed 13 lbs 5 oz and was 23.75" long.

-Size 2 diapers

-Size 3-6 and 6 months clothes

- Reaches and plays with toys

- Lots of drooling

-1st Easter {spent the weekend at Grandma's in West Virginia}

-Three naps a day {IN THE CRIB!!!}

-Nursing every three hours

-WAS sleeping through the night consistently, then sleep regression hit our house... hard!

-Still sleeps in the co-sleeper in our room at night

-We introduced a lovie {security blanket}

-He loves snuggling with the lovie and holding it while he nurses

-Mastered rolling back to belly

-Supported sitter :)

-We went to your first hockey game {Hershey Bears}

-You had a ball except you hated the bull horn when the Bears scored.  After the loud noise was over, you were all smiles again! :)

 LOVES Sophie the Giraffe and Freddie the Firefly.

Freddie is strapped to the car seat and it keeps him occupied in the car.  

We never leave home without Sophie.  Ethan thinks she is delicious!

This big boy loves standing up!  He is getting so big!

Mother's Day

So very blessed to be this boy's momma. I am having a wonderful Mother's Day with my guys! They got me a new Tervis cup that says "mom" and diamond stud earrings. :)

Slacking

4 months

I don't know if I will ever be "on-time" in getting these posts out.  Oh well.  Ethan will be 5 months old on April 22nd, so here we go with his 4 month post...

This little man is so much fun.  He has such a sweet personality.

4 month well baby visit--- immunizations :(

-13 lbs 5 oz, 23.75" long

-Size 2 diapers

-Wearing size 3 months clothes-- getting snug!

- Sucks on his right hand

- loves his new jumperoo toy

- Mommy's boy!

- Still loves baths

- Takes 3 (1hr-ish) naps a day

- Lots of drooling and bubbles

- Cooing constantly

- LOVES standing on our laps

- Daddy had Ethan for an afternoon while Mommy went and played basket bingo with friends.

- Bubbeh (Dean's mom) watched Ethan while went to see "American Idiot" at the Hershey Theater.  It was so hard to be away from him, but we had a great date night.

The Crib.

Ethan has been sleeping in a co-sleeper beside my bed since he has been born. Today Ethan is 4.5 months old and I figure it is time to get him in the crib. I know a lot of other moms have their babies in the crib and in their own room much sooner, I just wasn't ready. I admit that I was a little sad to have Ethan sleep in his crib today. He is getting so big!
Lately he has been waking at night which is not fun. I think when we toss and turn it wakes him a little. I think having him in his own room with less noise will be good for him. I have also read that a crib mattress is much softer and more comfortable than the pack n play type mattress.
Today I took the plunge and put him in his crib for his first nap. I held him for about thirty minutes after he fell asleep then took him to his room. He napped in the crib for an additional fifty minutes. :) His second nap was interrupted by Geno. Ugh. So he didn't last long in the crib. He just fell asleep for his third nap and I'm still holding him. Contemplating taking him up to the crib...

Ethan's first Easter

We went to my mom's house in West Virginia to celebrate Easter.

Growing up

Ethan's 4 month post is coming soon. We go to the doctor tomorrow for his well baby visit and will get his weight and height. For now here is E at 1, 2, 3 and 4 months...
