Geno's Birthday!!

Geno had a great 1st birthday!
He woke up and got a new hat and a new toy!
I can't believe we have had Geno for over 8 months now.
He will be a puppy forever-- he is full grown already!
Weighing in at a whopping 16lbs!!

Here he is with his new toy.
It's like a stuffed elephant without the stuffing.
Geno loves it. It has squeakers in all 4 feet and there was one
in the head, but G managed to break that one already.

Here is Dean celebrating!

We're Engaged!!

I'm sure a lot of you know already that Dean "popped the question" on Saturday but here is the whole story...

We thought that we would take a nice day trip to Washington, D.C. on Saturday. The weather was supposed to be beautiful and we really wanted to go to the National Museum of American History.

So we planned out the day and decided what we would do. We got ready last night and woke up at 5:30ish to get on the road. Since it was supposed to be 90 degrees in DC I was planning on wearing shorts. Only to find out that I left all of my shorts back in Hollidaysburg. Ugh. I was set on wearing jeans but it was going to be wayyyyy hot. We stopped at Walmart on the way out of town and got a pair of shorts. haha.

We finally got on the road to DC. It took almost two hours to get there. We parked and started walking toward the museum. Dean kept making me walk on his right side and I didn't know why. Turns out the ring box was in his left pocket. Dean kept saying he wanted to see the Jefferson Memorial too and it was on the way. We stumbled upon the George Mason Memorial. I was intrigued since I am a direct descendant of him. We started reading about him and then walked past the pool and fountain back to the statue. There was one other guy there-- mind you it was like 9am. He was your typical tourist with his backpack and huge camera. He read EVERYTHING and Dean said it was getting annoying that he was there.

So I was done with this memorial and ready to head to the museum. Dean INSISTED that we stay there and read all of the quotes and such. The guy finally left and Dean was done reading the quotes. He then sat on the bench. I asked what he was doing. We had just arrived to the city and he was ready to take a break. He asked me to come sit with him. I kept saying "come on, let's get to the museum." He proceeded to tell me how much he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He then got down on one knee and pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him! Of course-- I SAID YES!!!!

Then we spent the day at the museum. We then came back to Shippensburg and went to a BBQ at Amanda's house. What a fantastic day!

BEFORE!
Dean is looking nervous

AFTER!

AHHHHHH!

Done with the museum. Ready to head home.

We passed the memorial on our way to the car.
Such a pretty place!

Today is Geno's 1st Birthday...

parties, babies and puppies

Like I said in my last post...
Amanda and I watched 3 babies for a day.
They were all well behaved (for the most part).
Lots of poopy diapers, breast milk, naps and nasty puree-ed food.

Here is Andrew with his friend in tow.

All three boys.
Andrew. Justus. Quentin (holding his brother's foot--ha)

Dean and I got the Wii Fit! It is awesome and really fun to play.
Here is Andrew trying it out. He wasn't too good.

Dean and I had to take Andrew home.
Anyone recognize the car seat??
It's Mary's!!

All smiles at a birthday party.
Can you see his mohawk?

There was REALLLLLY cute puppy at the party.
He's part pug and part bulldog.

trying to figure out the collar situation-- making sure it's safe

Geno loves to help us drive.
4 eyes are better than 2.

Hey! Keep your eyes on the road, G!!

We had a very nice weekend.
I hosted a Pampered Chef party on Saturday morning.
Mom, Anna and Mary came to the party and to visit.
My friend, Michelle, from LHU came as well.
We had a lot of fun and YUMMY artichoke dip.

Mom, Anna and Mary stuck around for a little while after the party.
We flew kites in the front yard, played on the swing set and
took rides around the property on the go-kart!
Dean took Mom on the go-kart-- she screamed the whole time.
Hilarious.

After they were on their way back to Hollidaysburg,
Dean and I cleaned up from the party.
We then had to go to our friend's surprise 30th birthday party.
We had a lot of fun just relaxing and hanging around
with everyone outside in the gorgeous weather.

I hope this week is sunny and warm like yesterday was!

sorry i never update...

Happy Easter!!!!!

Get ready for a lot of cute pictures!
No one should take this many pictures
of their puppy, but I love him.
It will be 100 times worse when I have a real kid someday.

We went to Hollidaysburg to celebrate Easter.
We took Geno to the groomer Saturday morning.
He looks so handsome with his new haircut!

We thought Geno needed a new polo to wear on Easter Sunday.

What a cute face!

Dean and Geno taking a snooze...

Here is Mary "speckling" Easter eggs.

I just thought this was pretty...

Dean deep in thought with his egg.

Anna painted Starry Night on an egg.
It turned out awesome!

Mary with her egg that says "daddy"
What a cutie.

Mary on her egg hunt. Don't worry-- she found them all!
Anna watching in the distance.

Geno REALLY wanted to help find the eggs!
He wasn't allowed.

We walked into the living room and here was
Geno cuddling with the stuffed puppy.
I think he was missing his girlfriend, Chloe.

Mary and Geno!
She really loves that little guy!

Anna thought that Charlie wanted to try on Geno's polo.
He looks like he is hating his life.

We went to Heather's for lunch. The kids went on an egg hunt in the house.
Geno ended up with an empty egg-- he LOVED it.

This was the table set for Easter dinner at Heather's B&B

These kiddos were obsessed with Dean.
Mary on the left. Fritz hanging on Dean's leg.
Greta trying to hold Dean's hand.
Greta really loved Dean.

This is Geno today. Still wearing his green polo (of course).
He played with Chloe all day and was tuckered out.

Sorry that I never update. I'm trying to get better.
I've been subbing pretty regularly and sending
out applications for full time positions.
Tomorrow, I am helping Dean's sister-Amanda-
babysit her friend's twin boys.
I'm sure there will be fun pictures to share of the
three little guys in a couple of days.

Goodnight.
